Anything You Can Do
Lucas Thatcher has always been my enemy.
It’s been a decade since I’ve seen him, but our years on opposite coasts were less of a lasting peace and more of a temporary cease-fire. Now that we’re both back in our small town, I know Lucas expects the same old war, but I’ve changed since high school—and from the looks of it, so has he.
The arrogant boy who was my teenage rival is now a chiseled doctor armed with intimidating good looks. He is Lucas Thatcher 2.0, the new and improved version I’ll be competing with in the workplace instead of the schoolyard.
I’m not worried; I’m a doctor now too, board-certified and sexy in a white coat. It almost feels like winning will be too easy—until Lucas unveils a tactic neither of us has ever used before: sexual warfare.
The day he pushes me up against the wall and presses his lips to mine, I can’t help but wonder if he’s filling me with passion or poison. Every fleeting touch is perfect torture. With every stolen kiss, my walls crumble a little more. After all this time, Lucas knows exactly how to strip me of my defenses, but I’m in no hurry to surrender.
Knowing thy enemy has never felt so good.

This book is just wow. Just literally wow. R S grey has been my auto buy author for so long and that I got an arc for this one, I am really over the moon now. I love romantic comedy, and grey write the best of it. AYCD is full of fun, humour, witty banter between the two protagonists, flirty and sassy.
So, the book started with when Daisy Bell returns to her home town Hamilton after completing her residency to take up the job in her home town. The day she returns she gets a surprise daisy flower delivery by her very own enemy Lucas.
Daisy reminded me a lot of Georgie Archibald from A Place in the Sun. Her inner self and her confidence were awesome! But where I saw Georgie in Daisy I am unable to say that for Lucas. Because he is not at all like Luca. Not even one percent.
She hated Lucas like coke and Mentos. When they are, together something is about to blast.
His eyes are light brown, the colour of walnuts. It’s no coincidence I’ve never been able to stomach that particular nut.
Lucas Thatcher, same as Daisy is in his hometown after completing residency. Now look at Daisy’s fate that both the rivals get in the hospital and on the same post.
Daisy and Lucas haven’t come to face to face in last eleven years and when they meet all the aggression and competitiveness of Daisy is all over flowed and that causes her accident. Yes, first day at work being a doctor at the end of the day she needed one.
11 years have taken his chubby cheeks and sharpened them to fine lines. They’ve stretched his tall frame and blown it up like a muscle balloon. Without a doubt, he eats protein and has a gym membership.
I love, I mean really love the chemistry between the of them. They hated each other but still wanted other’s reaction to it. They were so damn cute to gather I was sighing just reading them. There was so much sexual tension between daisy and Lucas once they past their enemy zone and entered the frenemy area. The monologues of Daisy seriously something. They were so good. I laugh out loud hearing her inner monologues and the explanation to why the reason of every problem is Luca Thatcher. It was funny and witty.
Can some one that arrogant get along with anyone?” I joke, trying to push the blame where it belongs: on Lucas.
All in all, if you are looking for something cute, funny and want to have awe reaction while reading, then read this one. Because why not. It’s the beast book so far by Rachel.
PS: have you seen the cover? It’s so cute, I can look at them all day!
“It was never about the war and it was never about beating you. I just wanted to have you any way I could.”

About the Author
I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things… everyday.
I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors are Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I’m a comedy geek and love all things “funny”. Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
