The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.
He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.
When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.
You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend– smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.
He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he’d done.
Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.
Only it turned out, the man I’d just told off wasn’t the right guy.
Oops. My mistake.
Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology.
I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right?
That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.
Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant.
I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking.
Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West.
This was going to be interesting…

“You’ve always had my heart, and I don’t ever want it back.”
I am a huge fan of Vi Keeland, give me her any book and I will devour it in a day or two. And this book is also no different. I love it from Chapter one to their happily ever after. Vi Keeland has an unique touch to all her characters which will just mesmerized you. You wont be able to stop reading them and exploring their stories.
Here, in Beautiful Mistake, as the burbs says, Rachel Martin met Cain West in the bar where she works and straight out him thinking is an egotistical, married jerk who broke his best friend’s heart.
But obviously, that handsome and hot man was not married and not a jerk either. Now, Rachel is the TA of the new Professor, and guess what she is the TA of Professor Caine West.
“It was him.
It was really him.
I was royally screwed.”
Caine, was overly rugged handsome music teacher who in his teenage life was in a boy band which due to some tragic incident broke. So after years, Cain is here, a hot but very strict and rude Professor.
Rachel, is like every other girl Keeland writes, beautiful, smart and with complexity in her. she has her own skeleton in her closet but even after her appalling past she enjoys life to fullest wit the care in the world. I just love her.
The relationship between Caine and Rachel was marvelous. How both of them like each other but are too afraid to take a step. They are sassy, smart and witty with each other. Their pull and push will make you turn the page of Beautiful Mistake.
Cain and Rachel get together with the help of music. Its beautifully shown how two people can be so different and so very same at the same time.
“You’re that song, I don’t know any of the words, but the tune is so damn familiar.”
I understood what he meant. I’d felt a connection from the first time we met, too. I didn’t want to scare him, but whatever was between us had always felt bigger than me—bigger than us.”
