What I Need
Riley Tennyson has made a huge mistake.
At least, that’s what she keeps telling herself.
Showing up to her brother’s wedding pissed off and newly single, Riley seeks comfort in solitude and an open bar, until the gorgeous and irresistibly charming CJ Tully makes her a better offer―a wild night with the master of smooth-talking where nothing is off limits.
Riley does what any single woman would do, and a connection is made. One neither one of them can ignore. But when she comes home to the boyfriend she no longer thought she had, Riley buries her secret and begs CJ to do the same.
Forget about each other. It was a mistake. That’s all it was… right?
Desires are hidden. Distance is kept. Until one night CJ makes the ultimate sacrifice, and Riley can no longer avoid the man she can’t stop thinking about.
Not with him sleeping down the hall…

Ooohh! I loved this one! I never miss a book by J Daniels and this one was no different. Books with sexy male with honest and beautiful heroines!
This book is of the Hot hot hot ruxton police, CJ and how he falls for his friends’ sister. CJ in previous books was shown who had interest in Beth, Reed’s wife and Riley’s sister-in-law.
Riley was a kick as female character. She was already in a relation or was on a ‘break’ when she met CJ and did the deed.
“We were on a break!” I harshly whisper into the phone, pressing my free-hand against my stomach when it rolls with nausea. “Not broken up. Oh, my God. I feel like Ross.”
But my God when a guy with CJ’s personality and chivalry are know No woman can resist. Riley in the same way falls him but is too confused in her brain.
CJ is hot.
From the neck down he’s got it going on, and from the neck up? God. It’s almost unfair. Short, light brown hair that has tints of auburn in it, styled but sort of messy in the front and sticking up a little. Straight nose. High cheek bones. Chiseled jaw. A thick five o’clock shadow reaching down his neck, making him look all rough and tough.
Due to some fallout with Riley and her boyfriend which ended CJ in hospital, Riley takes up the responsibility to nurse him from home as she feels guilty for his situation. CJ who already had feelings for Riley grabbed the chance to live with him.
There were parts where when I was reading CJ he reminded me of one of the other character Daniels wrote. Jamie. I thought of him at certain point, because CJ was to the point and wasn’t shy about his feelings for Riley and yes he too was not keen on saying full sentences.
Obviously while reading Alabama series there is ought to have some friends drama… and yes characters from prior books were there and they all blended so beautifully I never wanted this book to get over.
“How many times have I said there are no secrets within the squad? We share everything,” Tessa proclaims, looking between Beth and Mia, then settling her disappointed gaze on me. “And how long have we known each other, Riley? My God. You couldn’t tell me?”
“Sorry.” I shrug. “I just . . . I didn’t know I was even in the squad.”
Really. I had no idea. This isn’t just me making up excuses. Tessa laughs a little, while Mia whispers, “I just love her,” and Beth squeezes my wrist.
“Well, you are now,” Tessa states, keeping her smile. “So, spill it. How’s the big bull ride, anyway?”
Yes Riley was living in her mind. I think she should just have came out of that box and listen to that gorgeously hot man with short little brown hair is saying!
Yes CJ. I am talking about him. Ooohh and I know you want to know what the real name of CJ, its there in the book. No body knows his real name except for CJ’s parents, his brother and Riley. And now me – well me with thousand of other readers who read this book. If you want to know his real name and his story with Riley go buy that book stat!
“So, what does the CJ stand for anyway?” I ask […] “Is it a secret? I won’t tell anyone. I promise.”
