Whoa! Too much of sweetness!!!! Sweetness in account of second chance at love as well
You see, Saylor is an independent working baker who works her ass off to sustain the livelihood she dreamed for. So, recently she broke up with her fiancé just few months prior to the wedding because she was not so sure about her relationship with him. Now that fiancé had sent an invitation letter of his marriage with some other woman just six months after their break up.
So, what would you normally do in this circumstance? Open the invitation – which mind you was exactly same like the one Saylor had selected for her own wedding – and get upset seeing it and fill out the RSVP with a plus one sign. Because you know you are not going to go but there is no harm in filling the invitation. But to the utter horror of Saylor her assistant mails the invitation back!
“It’s one thing to envision Mitch panicking. It’s another to find out the RSVP was actually mailed.”
Now who would come to save the baker? Introducing mega movie star, who had hearts of millions of people especially women, also who had broken Saylor’s heart a decade ago – Hayes Whitley, and who also is Saylor’s brother best friend. Looks like the love story of being with brother’s best friend failed epically.
“But we all know books are fiction.
The romance in novels is a crock of shit.
Sometimes the hero still leaves in the end.
And the heroine is once again left to pick up the pieces.”
Ryder, Saylor’s brother, to help her out calls Hayes who is more influential than Laytons, Mitch – the fiancé’s family. At first sight of Hayes, Saylor has all the mixed emotions for him that were buried inside her for last ten years. She was sassy and shot tempered. Who would tongue lash him any time of day after what he did.
Hayes Whitley twists me up like a Rubik’s cube. He did way back when and still does now. He’s changed me. Turned that naïve, solid-color blocked puzzle I once was and left me scattered all over the place. I’m a mix of emotions when it comes to him. And no matter how hard I’ve tried to get back to that solid state I was before him, I know I never will. He’s left his fingerprint on me, marking me with invisible ink.
Well, at first what Hayes did was seriously selfish but we get him further into the story. But after all these year he still hasn’t forgot Saylor and their relationship. For which now he would do anything to get second chance with her.
“I knew we were young. Knew I did the right thing in chasing my dream since she was only seventeen and I was nineteen. But how selfish was I to leave without an explanation or a goodbye? Ass. Hole. And for that I deserved her understandable caution, every bit of her wrath, and every ounce of her hatred.”
Hayes and Saylor attends the wedding which is again the same as what Saylor had planned for her and to the utter mortification, the bride was the exact copy of Saylor too. Strange and little bit annoying.
Ooohhh!! And then the relationship starts with ups and down as well. But Hayes and Saylor were epic together. But Hayes’ is a mega movie star which include his life in tabloids and with paparazzi at every corner.
Grudge cake? Anyone had one? If not, you can contact Saylor from Sweet Cheeks who would provide some for you.
“I make grudge cupcakes. Where there’s one for me to get my chocolate fix.” I hold up the one that says Oats To Sow. Take a small bite. Then hold up the One To Throw cupcake as shutters click. “And this one’s to get my frustration and aggression out.” And this time when I smash it, I earn a chuckle from them.
