This is Reckless
Drew Fisher is the type of guy every girl wants.
Noble police officer by day, charming prince by night.
He has no idea the effect he has on women, especially me—his little sister’s best friend.
I’m the blonde Southern belle who lives up to the cliché, except I have my own quirks. I’m smart as a whip, can change my own oil, and recite The Pledge of Allegiance backward, but he doesn’t see that girl.
It’d be easier to forget him if he wasn’t my roommate and if the first thing I saw in the morning wasn’t his shirtless body covered in tattoos. I’ve crushed on him since the day we met, but he’s made it perfectly clear where we stand. Just friends.
I know I need to move on and accept that his feelings will never be mutual, but every day he smiles at me, I’m left dreaming of what if.
He has girl issues, and I’ve got a crush I can’t deny.
We’re friends, but I want more.
One drunken hookup leaves us with much more than a platonic friendship. Pretending it never happened proves to be more difficult than anticipated.
A crazy ex-girlfriend, a dangerous war of stolen glances, and passionate kisses leads to the most reckless battle yet. I won’t be a pawn in his game, but I’ll play by his rules if it will show him I’m the one worth breaking them for.

“Where have you been all of my life?”
“I’ve been waiting for you.”
This is the third book in Checkmate series and this series focuses on Drew and Courtney. If you have read first two books we all know that much Courtney had a crush on Drew and she wanted to make Drew see that she is better than his girlfriend Mia.
This book starts after around three years, where on the wedding day of Travis and viola, Drew and Courtney do the deed. How it happened and how did they booth fell on the bed together was seriously good.
Drew had very strain relationship with his on and off girlfriend, Mia, and we all know what she did to Travis and Viola in book 1 and 2 they too are not keen on her. But Courtney can’t stand how Mia treats Drew and how Drew would anything for her.
Off course later in the book they both find their way to be together but off Course Kennedy fox has to end this book with cliff hanger. Yes, you heard me it’s a CLIFF HANGER book.
“Courtney is my best friend, my roommate, my partner in crime, and now she’s mine.”
I was on last chapter and I was like yes this is going great. Smooth all happy and sweet and adorable and then BAM this happens and all goes straight to hell.
“I didn’t know it was possible to fall in love with my best friend.”
I am waiting for the other part of Drew and Courtney ‘s story desperately.
“For waiting for me.”
